XYVEL Brief: privacy policy

Version of 2 September 2026

The essentials

Summaries are computed on your device by Chrome's built-in artificial intelligence. The content of the pages you summarize is sent neither to XYVEL nor to any external AI service, and the extension sets no tracker.

Data processed locally

The text of the active page is read at the moment you request a summary. Your history, pins and settings are stored only in your browser: you can clear them at any time, and uninstalling the extension removes everything.

Web review search

The review search sends the product name to a search engine (DuckDuckGo) and loads the result pages, as if you were running that search yourself. The synthesis of these sources is still computed locally.

YouTube videos

On a video page, the extension downloads the subtitle file directly from YouTube, as the player does when you turn them on. The synthesis stays local.

Usage statistics

An option to share anonymous statistics exists in the settings, off by default. In the current version, no data is sent even when it is enabled. Should a future version use it, only aggregated metadata would be involved, never page content, and this policy would be updated beforehand.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), any question about your data can be sent to contact@xyvel.ch. Since this version's data never leaves your browser, deleting it is in your hands.
